YWCA Board Announces New Executive Director

YWCA Board Announces New Executive Director –

The Board of Directors of the YWCA Gettysburg and Adams County is pleased to announce that Dotty Dalphon has accepted the Executive Director position, effective May 13, 2019.  This start date allows approximately six weeks of overlap between retiring Executive Director Deb Geesey and Dotty.  This overlap will help insure the smooth transition that both Deb and Dotty are committed to.  Your support during this transition period is greatly appreciated.  Just like Deb, Dotty will report to the Board of Directors of the YWCA Gettysburg and Adams County.

Dotty earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware, graduating with honors. Prior to accepting this position, she served as Director of Philanthropy for The Lutheran Village in Ellicott City, MD and before that as Executive Director of Shepherd’s Spring, Inc in Sharpsburg, MD (a retreat, summer camp and conference center outside of D.C.). Dotty brings over 25 years of experience and a proven track record of success in non-profit leadership and recently in the fund development area.  These skills and her supervisory/personnel development/leadership skills will be valuable in carrying forward the mission work and operational excellence for which the YWCA Gettysburg and Adams County is known.

We are confident that Dotty will be an excellent fit and a strong asset for our organization.  The YWCA will host several receptions to introduce Dotty to the YWCA community, supporters and members.  Dates and times will be announced in May.  Dotty and her husband will be moving to the Gettysburg area in the near future.

Please join us in welcoming Dotty to our YWCA.
