YWCA to close due to Coronavirus pandemic

To our community,

So much has been up in the air recently, with so many closures occurring and the numbers of confirmed cases of Coronavirus increasing daily. We are so grateful to all of you for your support and enthusiasm during this time. From the start of these questions around COVID-19, the YWCA Gettysburg and Adams County was intentional about prioritizing what was best for our community and the people we serve.

As a result of the Pennsylvania Government’s order today at 2pm, we realized what was best for our community has changed. With mixed emotions, we are closing the YWCA Gettysburg and Adams County and all facilities associated with it for two weeks, unless the guidance is lifted earlier. Additionally, all programs and events scheduled between now and March 31st are canceled.

I assure you, we are eager to reopen all of our facilities once we are assured that we can keep our community safe and secure while doing so. We serve many people who are vulnerable to COVID-19, and we feel responsible for our community’s health and wellness. Please visit our website frequently for updates.  We know the YW is an extension of your family, and we remain committed to serving you, just as we have served for many years.  Your patience, understanding, and generosity during this challenging times is greatly appreciated.
