COVID-19 Closure Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When is the YWCA re-opening?
A. We are unsure. We are constantly monitoring the governor’s recommendations and having discussions on what is best for the safety of our members.

Q. What about my Membership? Will I be reimbursed for the time that the YWCA is closed?
A. We will be extending all memberships the length of the closure.

Q. Can I retrieve items in my locker?
A. The first week of the closure, we held two periods for members to retrieve items from their locker. If you must retrieve items, email to schedule a time.

Q. Will I receive anything for missed swim lesson days?
A. Yes. Any missed swim lessons will be put on your account in the form of a voucher. That can be used for anything here at the YWCA.

Q. If I made a payment on the Monday the closure occurred, what will happen to my payment since you closed?
A. A credit will be applied.

Q. If I’m on Child Care Works, (CCW/CCIS), am I responsible to pay my weekly co-pay?
A. Yes. You are responsible for your weekly co-pay for the week of March 16, 2020. The state will pay the remaining weekly balance. If your co-pay is higher than the charge for one day, you will be credited the difference toward your next co-pay.

Q. Is there anything I can do for the YWCA?
A. We understand many people have lost their jobs during this pandemic and have fallen on hard times. The YWCA has also fallen on hard times because many revenue streams have been choked. If you are able, we would great appreciate you considering a donation to the YWCA. Donations may be made online at
