Child Enrichment Program to remain open during school closures

The YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County’s Child Enrichment program will remain open during school closures, March 16-27, 2020.

The YWCA Childcare will operate during normal hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday offering CEP for children ages 6 weeks to 12 who are already enrolled.

The School Age Learning program for grades K through 6 will offer all day programming from 6:30 am to 6 p.m. for children and families already enrolled in our childcare programs.

The only exception to staying open will be if Governor Wolf or a government body requires our childcare operation to close.
YWCA requires children, staff, and visitors who are sick to return home. For everyone’s safety, we cannot allow children with viral symptoms to remain in childcare.
During these uncertain times, if you choose not to bring your child(ren) to YW CEP between now and March 27, you will not be required to pay for those two weeks. However, your generosity to the program during this time will be appreciated.

Please know that YWCA Management Staff will be closely monitoring and assessing the operation on an ongoing basis. Every precaution and measure to clean and sanitize our facility is being taken particularly high touch surfaces, objects, toys, etc.

We have increased cleaning/sanitizing tasks and will continue to follow these high standards during this COVID 19 pandemic.
Your cooperation in adhering to strict health care standards per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and all government guidelines is deeply appreciated. It is our desire to continually support our families, clients and community at large with critically needed programs.
