YWCA Health & Wellness

  • Take an indoor cycling or fitness class like Zumba, yoga, or HIIT.
  • Stow away your items in our convenient lockers.
  • Sign up for personal training sessions to guide you through custom workouts.

Barre

Barre is a fusion of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training.

This class combines Barre and Pilates and includes a series of floor exercises designed to promote core fitness, flexibility, good posture, and body awareness.

Bootcamp

Monday-Friday, 6-7 am

Join Howard for this intense workout!  Bootcamp mixes traditional calisthenics and bodyweight exercises with interval and strength training. It also includes various forms of skipping, jumping rope, and sprinting that involve bursts of high-intensity work.

Club AK

Monday and Tuesday, 6-7 pm

A non-stop dance fitness workout that will increase your cardio endurance! This high-energy workout incorporates easy-to-follow rhythmic moves, and some routines may include basic HIIT (high-intensity interval training). Dance off those calories in this club atmosphere to a variety of popular music!

Fit, Fun, and Fifty+ (FFF)

Fit, Fun, and Fifty+ is an exercise class for seniors focusing on cardio, toning, and flexibility.

Gentle/Beginner Yoga

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:15-10:15 am

Gentle yoga is performed at a slower pace with simple positions and extended time for meditation. This class is perfect for all ages.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

HIIT is a training technique in which you give 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

All classes are held in the Spin Studio.

Indoor cycle classes are as exhilarating as they are challenging. The benefits of our indoor cycle classes include weight loss, improved strength, and endurance. Indoor cycling is also ideal for people who want a cardio workout without putting too much stress on their joints.

Pilates Fusion

This class is a 60 to 90-minute full-body session with Pilates pulses using resistance bands and light hand weights and is designed to promote core fitness, flexibility, good posture, and body awareness.

Silver Sneakers Classic

Tuesday and Thursday, 9-10 am

Have fun and move to the music through various exercises designed to help older adults increase muscle strength and range of movement. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted depending on your fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

This class is designed for older adults, and exercises are performed while sitting in a chair or using a chair for balance.

All classes are held in the Group Exercise Studio and are taught by Debbie.

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music that creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness class.

Locker Rentals

Locker Room

All of our locker rooms have toilet and shower facilities, changing areas, and lockers. These lockers may be used in two ways:

  • Free daily use: Rent a locker on a day-by-day basis. Your locker must be emptied when you leave the facility.
  • Yearly rental: Rent a locker for a year. Your items may be left in the locker, ready for you when you use the facility.

Annual locker rental rates:
$25 for tote locker (12”x12”x14”)
$40 for half locker (12”x35”x14”)
$75 for full lockers (12”x72”x14”)

Refunds are not given on locker rentals. Locks are not to be left on any locker unless it has been rented.
