Laurie Stover Will Make You Well

Laurie Stover and the Gettysburg YWCA are old friends. Over the years, Laurie has led exercise and wellness classes and participated in many more. Now, she’s into something new.

As the brand new Wellness Coordinator, Laurie will play an important and role in leading members toward improved physical as well as emotional health. “It’s not just a fitness thing,” Laurie points out. “We are looking at the whole picture for membership.”

As someone long acquainted with the local organization, Laurie is well aware and fervently appreciative of the central – and centering – role that this place plays for so many and she is planning to build upon that special culture.

Laurie has training in expertise in yoga, tai chi, gymnastics, and more. She’s even taught kickboxing, for example. Her knowledge is equaled only perhaps by her enthusiasm for this new role at the YWCA.

YWCA, Foursquare Church Create Student Support Center

The YWCA and Foursquare Church have stepped up to help students in our community affected by the pandemic.
Gettysburg Area School District’s (GASD) sixth through ninth graders have access to a free pilot program which provides supervised spaces, or pods, in which to learn during the virtual portion of their hybrid education.
A very generous donor has given us $5,000 to support a portion of our costs of this program.
That donor is challenging you to step-up and assist!
Visit Under type of donation, choose “other” and type “student support center” in the field.
Thank you for your generosity as we work together to navigate these challenging times.
