Class Descriptions & Times
Liquid Assets with Kellie
Saturdays 9am – 10am
This class is for active and healthy adults who want a medium to high-intensity workout for muscle toning with aerobic exercises. This class utilizes both the shallow and deep ends of the pool.
Liquid Fit with Kellie
Wednesdays 5pm – 6pm
This is for active and healthy adults who want a medium to high-intensity workout for muscle toning with aerobic exercises. This class utilizes both the shallow and deep ends of the pool.
Swing N’ Sway with Mary
Mondays and Wednesdays 10am – 11am
A low to medium intensity workout for senior adults that includes stretching, muscle strengthening, and cardio workout. This class utilizes both the shallow and deep ends of the pool.
Gentle Water Yoga with Mary
Mondays & Wednesdays 11am – 11:30am
This is a low-intensity workout in the shallow end of the pool. This workout will focus on strengthening joints, increasing balance, and toning core muscles.
Water Funtastic with Linda
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30pm – 1pm
A fun, medium to high intensity workout. Participants can expect to move back and forth in the shallow end of the pool. This class focuses on cardio, upper and lower muscle strengthening, core toning, and balance. Light leaping and jumping included. This is a 25-minute total workout. Wearing water shoes and bringing water bottle with you is highly recommended.
Water Walking with Linda
Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am – 9:30am
A medium intensity workout while walking, jogging, and running in the shallow end of the pool. Focus on cardio, range of motion, balance, upper/lower muscle strengthening, and core toning. Dynamic and static stretches are included for improving flexibility. Wearing water shoes and bringing a water bottle with you is highly recommended.
YWCA Masters Swimming
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm – 6:00pm
*Practices will take place at our Outdoor Pool starting May 26th, 2020*
This is for adults who would like to swim laps as a workout. This can also help prepare tri-athletes or anyone cross-training. This is also open to adults who would like to train to compete in swim meets. This is taught by a certified US Masters Swimming Coach.
Group Aquatics Training Programs
Deep Water Group Training with Linda
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:40am – 10:40am
A medium to high intensity workout in deep end of the pool for all ages and ability levels. Emphasis on deep water cardio, range-of-motion, and strength of movement for muscles and joints. Participants can expect to work out in a vertical position with a supportive floatation belt. This class is a progression in fitness, using benchmarks to measure performance. Excellent for participants looking for the next level up in their water exercises. Bringing a water bottle with you is highly recommended.
Shallow Water Group Training with Linda
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 11:30am – 12:30pm
A medium to high intensity workout in shallow end of the pool for all ages and ability levels. Emphasis on cardio, flexibility, balance, and strength while moving through water. This course is a progression in fitness, using benchmarks to measure performance. Wearing water shoes and bringing a water bottle with you is highly recommended.
Personal Water Fitness Trainer
This is for any adult who would like one on one water fitness training. Teaching sessions are by appointment only. All participants who are interested can email our Aquatics Director, Mark Mellon, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (717-334-9171 ext. 129) to schedule an appointment with one of our water fitness trainers. A medical release form is required of all participants.
Our primary water fitness trainer is Linda Denniston. She comes with over 15 years of fitness training. She is certified through the United States Water Fitness Association and the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America.
