Tryouts for the Sharks Swim Team:
Swimmers must be able to swim the entire length of our pool (25m) doing each of the following strokes: freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke.  They also must show they can swim at least half the length of our pool (about 15m) doing the butterfly.  They must show their skills in diving, flip turns and open turns.  The swimmers do not have to be proficient in these skills.  The coaches will determine whether a swimmer is ready for the Sharks Swim Team or whether the swimmer would benefit from practicing with the Mini Sharks.
Try outs are October 16-31 and we encourage all new swimmers to email the swim team coaches at sharkscoaches@gmail.com to make an appointment

Swim Meet Schedule:

Fall sports conflict ??-  Please do not forget to register your child for winter swimming even if they can’t begin practice until after a fall sport is over (such as football, hockey, soccer, etc.)   Just email the coaches at sharkscoaches@gmail.com with a projected date for your swimmer to start practice. The meets do not typically start until late November or early December, so there is not a real conflict with fall sports.
