Our water fitness classes run the gamut of fitness: some focus on strengthening joints and muscles, while others offer a harder workout to tone your body and help you lose weight. Everyone enjoys the friendships they make through classes, and the camaraderie keeps them coming back for more.
Water fitness is safe and easy to learn. Classes include cardiovascular, strength and stretching exercises. Participants are encouraged to work at their own comfort level. The YWCA provides barbells, kick boards, noodles, and resistance cuffs for use in classes. Everyone is welcome to try any water fitness class one time at no charge.
Participants must bring their own towel, bathing suits and a change of dry clothes. We would also encourage everyone to wear water shoes, flip flops or sandals to prevent slipping in the locker rooms or on the pool deck.
Liquid Assets with Kellie
This class is for active and healthy adults who want a medium- to high-intensity workout that includes muscle toning and aerobic exercises. The workout uses the shallow and deep ends of the pool.
Saturdays 9 – 10 a.m.
Swing N’ Sway with Mary
A low- to medium-intensity workout for senior adults that includes stretching, and muscle strengthening. The class is held in the shallow and deep ends of the pool.
Monday & Friday 10am – 11 am
Water Yoga with Mary
This is a low intensity workout in the shallow end of the pool only. This workout will focus on strengthening joints, increasing balance, and toning core muscles.
Monday & Wednesday 11:00-11:30 am
Power House Workout with Linda
30 minute workout that focuses on flexibility and toning. Shallow end of the pool only. This is a high intensity class that does include a cardio workout. No swim experience necessary.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 12:30 pm-1:00 pm
Water Walking with Linda
This is a low to medium-intensity class that will help build muscle tone and strength. There is a focus on a variety of movements in shallow water only and ends with stretching.

This class is for active and healthy adults who want a medium- to high-intensity workout that includes muscle toning and aerobic exercises. The workout uses the deep end of the pool.

This class is for active and healthy adults who want a medium- to high-intensity workout that includes muscle toning and aerobic exercises. The workout uses the shallow and deep end of the pool.

Lap Exercise (Masters)Swimming
This is for adults who would like to swim laps as a workout. This can also help prepare tri-athletes, or anyone cross training. This is also ope to adults who would like to train to compete in swim meets. It is also for anyone who would like to improve their strokes.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 – 6:00 pm with Carol
