Time to Talk

Time to Talk is designed to encourage participants to learn about racial and cultural differences, to evaluate these differences in light of their own experiences and perceptions, and to discover ways they can help eliminate racism in Adams County.

In September, the YWCA began an 11-part discussion based on the book “Witnessing Whiteness: The Need to Talk About Race and How to Do It” by Shelly Tochluk. Books and materials are available for participants for free thanks to a generous grant from the Adams County Community Foundation. Sessions are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Discussions are facilitated by Rosie Bolen, trained facilitator and antiracism activist. E-mail Ashley Andyshak Hayes or call 717-334-9171, ext. 113 to register.
