membership

The YW has something for everyone: rec memberships include fitness center, pool, gym, racquetball, aerobic classes, and lots more. Several membership levels are available as well as day passes and financial aid.

sports & fitness

Have fun, get fit: exercise in our state-of-the-art fitness center, grab a racquet and head into the racquetball courts, join a game of pick-up basketball, or check-out one of several fitness classes!

aquatics

The only indoor pool in Adams County open to the public. Join a team, learn to swim, get fit, or just have fun.

child care

Structured, loving, safe & educational; enroll your child in the YWCA child care program that best fits your needs. We’re the largest provider in Adams County.

community outreach

The YWCA offers programs that encourage discussion about racial justice and appreciation for the diversity in our community, and provide women and girls opportunities for economic advancement.

road scholar

The YWCA has been the sponsored site for Road Scholar program for over 15 years. Find out how you too can be a part of Adventures in Lifelong Learning.

Brown Bag Lunch Series

The YWCA’s Brown Bag Lunch series invites you to bring your lunch and be enriched and enlightened by lectures and question-and-answer sessions, held in the YWCA Community Room. All Brown Bag Lunch sessions begin at noon and are free and open to the public regardless of YWCA membership status. Please register at the Service Desk. Upcoming sessions include:

Feb. 21: Adam McClain, watershed specialist with the Adams County Conservation District, and Chuck Reid, executive director of Strawberry Hill Nature Center, will present “Water: A Critical Issue in Adams County.” Find out how the Watershed Alliance of Adams County is working to collect data about water availability and develop water management practices.
March 20: Mary Furlong will present “Women’s Education, Women’s Empowerment” in observance of Women’s History Month. This session will be held at HACC-Gettysburg.
April 17: Heather Purcell of U Financial will discuss long-term care planning.
