Pamela (Miss Pam) Gilbert
I’ve worked in the YWCA’s Child Enrichment Programs for 24 years. I spent 16 years with the preschool students, and have been working with the infants and toddlers for 8 years. It’s been a real blessing being with those babies. Working with kids keeps you honest! I’ve been blessed to have a job that I love, and I get paid to do it.

The main reason I give to the YWCA is because of what our programs offer to the children. The program grows with the kids, and the YW has great teachers. It’s great to see some of the kids I had in my classroom during my first year here come back and visit me with their own babies. It’s nice to be remembered.

Over the years I have learned that every child is unique and just having a small part in their lives has been amazing. I know it’s an old cliché, but these children really are our future.
