membership

The YW has something for everyone: rec memberships include fitness center, pool, gym, racquetball, aerobic classes, and lots more. Several membership levels are available as well as day passes and financial aid.

sports & fitness

Have fun, get fit: exercise in our state-of-the-art fitness center, grab a racquet and head into the racquetball courts, join a game of pick-up basketball, or check-out one of several fitness classes!

aquatics

The only indoor pool in Adams County open to the public. Join a team, learn to swim, get fit, or just have fun.

child care

Structured, loving, safe & educational; enroll your child in the YWCA child care program that best fits your needs. We’re the largest provider in Adams County.

community outreach

The YWCA offers programs that encourage discussion about racial justice and appreciation for the diversity in our community, and provide women and girls opportunities for economic advancement.

road scholar

The YWCA has been the sponsored site for Road Scholar program for over 15 years. Find out how you too can be a part of Adventures in Lifelong Learning.

Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

3 p.m., Gettysburg College’s Christ Chapel. The 31st annual celebration will feature the Morgan State University Choir and keynote speaker Eddie Glaude. The Living the Dream Award will be presented to an Adams County resident who personifies King’s dream of a free and equal society. The event is free and open to the public.

Martin Luther King Jr. DAY ON

9 a.m. to noon. Make your Martin Luther King Jr. holiday a day on instead of a day off. Donate items needed by local nonprofits or volunteer to help sort items at the YWCA.

YWCA WINTER INDOOR TRIATHLON

2011 Triathalon Registration Form
Compete individually or as a relay. February 5 & 6 2011 12:30-3:30PM
500 meters swim, 9 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
Swim: YWCA 25 meter pool
Bike: Indoor stationary spin bikes. Odometers attached. Must have enough tension to have no bouncing to mimic a flat road.
Run: Treadmills. No incline required.
You can choose which day you would like to compete. Must be at least 16 year old to compete. All participants will recieve a t-shirt. General instructions will be mailed or given to participants as they register.
Registration is now open. $25 per person
After February 1st registration fee is $50
No race day registrations accepted.
You can mail in your registration form with a check attached. All checks must be payable to the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County. Another option is to fill out a registration form here at the YWCA in Gettysburg, PA and pay with cash, check or credit card.
