Cultural Celebration Events

The YWCA’s Cultural Celebration Events offer a venue to appreciate the diversity in our community. Since 2008, we’ve hosted events featuring the cultures of India, China, Mexico, Ireland, and Italy, and explored how traditions in those cultures are observed here in Adams County. We have also hosted a multicultural holiday celebration, including traditions of Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Diwali, Eid al Adha, and Yule.

Mark your calendars for Dec. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. The YWCA will celebrate Polish heritage, featuring pierogies, polkas, and everything in between! This family-friendly event will have something for everyone. As always, our Cultural Celebration Events are free and the public is invited.

Power Hour

This class is designed specifically to stretch and strengthen the body. Power Hour will be taught with mostly mat and floor work. Get ready for a jam packed hour of exercising fun!

Ballet

This class has been developed to help gain strength and flexibility throughout the body, as well as teach the basics of ballet technique. Ballet is open to all age groups, levels, and will progress slow over the summer months.
