Free DITI Presentation
The YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County’s ENCORE Breast Cancer Support group will host a presentation on digital infrared thermal imaging (DITI), featuring representatives from Ah’lese Thermal Imaging Center in York, Tuesday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. at 909 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg.

Community Discussions
The YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County and HACC-Gettysburg will partner to present two opportunities for community discussion this month. Both events will be held at the HACC-Gettysburg campus, 731 Old Harrisburg Rd., Gettysburg and are free and open to the public.
On May 22 at 5:30 p.m., Rukhsana Rahman will present “What Everyone Needs to Know About Islam” as part of the ongoing Time to Talk discussion series. She will address commonly asked questions about Islam and will share her experience making the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
On May 24 at noon, the public is invited to a panel discussion entitled “Making Sense of the Trayvon Martin Case.” The discussion will focus on the issues of self-defense, racial bias and prejudice, and sociocultural visual perception. Click here for more about these programs.

Spirit of Gettysburg 5K
The 22nd Annual Spirit of Gettysburg 5K run will be Saturday, June 23rd at 8 a.m. However, the YWCA Spirit of Gettysburg is more than just a 5K. With over 1,100 people participating last year, including the wheelchair category, a 1-mile fitness walk and kids fun run events, this is truly a fun, family event!
