Assistant Group Supervisor – Full Time

Child care has a full-time, 9 p.m. to 6 p.m., position available at the Adams Commerce Location. Candidate must be 18 years of age with a minimum of a high school diploma and 2500 hours experience working with children. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistant Group Supervisor will maintain and ensure direct supervision and care of children
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will ensure and maintain proper parent/staff relations
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will assist with development and implementation of lesson plans and daily schedules
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will develop and implement daily routines for children in the specific group to which assigned
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will assist with maintenance of health and safety regulations as stated in the DHS regulation manual
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will assist in keeping classroom stocked with appropriate paper, cleaning, first aid resources, instructional materials, and art supplies
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will attend monthly staff meetings as well as special seminars and training sessions as required by DHS and the CY director
  • Assistant Group Supervisor will perform any other job duties as assigned

Lead Gymnastics InstructorPart Time

We are looking for someone who can provide a FUN and Energetic environment! Must have gymnastics knowledge and experience with teaching children gymnastics and/or tumbling. Must be able to prepare lesson plans, lead and demonstrate classes, and answer questions about the program. Hours are flexible. Must be CPR & First Aid Certified.


Lifeguard – Part Time

Do you have a desire to improve lives through exercise? Join a team where you grow and learn while having a fun! The YWCA is currently looking for energetic and driven individuals who want to make a difference.

  • Lifeguards monitor pool activities and ensures member safety.
  • Lifeguards need to possess knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures.
  • To help prevent incidents, lifeguards must enforce all safety guidelines as outlined by the YWCA.
  • To ensure safety, lifeguards must remain alert throughout an entire shift.
  • Additional job duties a lifeguard performs include preparing activity and incident reports and performing pool maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.
  • A lifeguard may need to possess a pre-employment physical and a skills test.
  • Candidates must be at least 15 years old.
  • Must be willing and able to acquire favorable child abuse, criminal background, and FBI clearances.

Sharks Swim Team Head Coach – Part Time

Candidate must have current American Red Cross, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. Experience is preferred but training is available. Candidates must be willing to work weeknights between 5:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. and some Saturdays between 7:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. between October and February.


Masters Swim Coach – Part Time

Candidate must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or acquire them within 6 months of employment), and have at least 2 years of experience in coaching a swim team.  Candidate must also be a member of USMS.


Swim Instructor – Part Time

WSI certification required for this position. Must have current American Red Cross, CPR, First Aid, and AED. Preferred experience teaching preschool and/or school-age group swim lessons. We are looking for individuals with flexibility.
