land fitness classes

 

Beginning this fall, all land fitness classes, including Cycle classes, will be 8 week sessions.  All rec pass holders, members and non-members must now register for all classes.  This will provide instructors with a complete roster that includes participant’s names and phone numbers.  Classes for rec pass holders will continue to be free but members and non-members will pay for an 8-week session rather than individual classes.  If you are 10 or more minutes late for class, please be courteous and do not enter.  For additional descriptions or to find out what class is right for you, contact Jennifer at ext. 119.

class descriptions

 

Ab Blast:  30 minutes of complete abdominal training.

Bosu Boot Camp:  Intense full-body workout using a variety of equipment including our new Bosu Balls, which focus on balance and core strength.

Cardio-Kick:  Hi-intensity aerobics with kickboxing.

Fit, Fun, Fifty +:  A total exercise class for seniors.  Cardio, toning and flexibility.

Fit Yoga:  Discover the benefits of Hatha Yoga.  All ages, sizes and fitness levels are welcome.  Yoga will increase your flexibility, tone your muscles and help to re-connect your mind, spirit and body.

Fitness Fusion:  Blending together cardio, strength and flexibility.

Instructor’s Choice:  Instructor chooses the cardio workout (step, BOSU, cardio kick, etc.)

Interval Blast:  Define your upper and lower body by alternating weights with step intervals; this is a great cardio class!

Lunchtime Fitness:  Need to squeeze in a workout at lunchtime?  This 40 minute class is for you.

Muscle Pump:  Full body workout taking each major muscle group to fatigue while increasing your heart rate.

Pilates:  Mat work through a series of floor exercises designed to promote core strength, flexibility, good posture and improve body awareness.

Pre/Postnatal Fitness:  Low impact aerobics for the new and expectant mothers.   New mothers may bring their babies!

Step:  The cardio class for step enthusiasts.  A great way to burn fat and calories while toning the lower body.

Zumba:  Latin Dance inspired, high-energy, full-body workout.
